Assistant Store Manager

Full-Time | $30.00 per hour + Overtime Eligible

Bedford Hardware is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support the daily operations of our locally owned hardware store. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service.

• Lead and support a team of associates on the sales floor
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues professionally
• Assist with scheduling, training, and team development
• Help oversee merchandising, inventory, and store presentation
• Open and close the store as needed
• Work closely with ownership to ensure smooth daily operations

• Previous retail supervisory or management experience required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Hardware, home improvement, or related experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday

• $30.00 per hour
• Overtime eligible
• Five days per week, consisting of four scheduled weekdays plus every Sunday
