Summary Job Description: Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II
Full-Time, First Shift Surgical Services I Lexington, KY Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department. Description Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:
At the direction of management and/or nursing personnel, assists the hospital staff/department in the provision of high quality, safe patient care Provides basic physical care of the patient. Demonstrates safe patient transport with stretcher, wheelchairs, and patient beds. Performs tasks and procedures as directed according to hospital policy and procedure. Ensures positive customer relations interactions. Actively participates in unit activities. Perform routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment and care of patients. On Call required-weeknights, weekends, and holiday picked by rotation. Requirements Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:
High School Diploma and/or Equivalent. Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. Benefits:
