Substitute Teacher Coordinator

Manage our pool of substitute teachers and ensure high-quality classroom coverage.

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new substitute teachers.
• Maintain regular communication with substitute teachers, school staff, and administrators regarding schedules, assignments, and classroom needs.
• Track substitute teacher hours, maintain absence records, and prepare related reports.
• Address issues related to substitute coverage, classroom management, or other challenges during assignments.
• Keep accurate documentation of substitute assignments, hours worked, and related information.
• Provide orientation and training to substitutes on school procedures, classroom management, and relevant systems.
• Foster professional, supportive relationships with substitutes, school staff, and administrators.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in education preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and time-sensitive situations.
