Let's do this! Let's change the world! In this vital role, you will join Amgen's Transformative Digital Capabilities (TDC) organization within Process Development (PD). TDC is at the forefront of digital transformation, enabling scientific and operational excellence through data integration, analytics, digital products, and emerging technologies. As a Data Scientist, you will partner with scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to unlock the value of Process Development data. You will help drive data-informed decision making through analytics, visualization, data product development, and AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, accessibility, and business outcomes across PD. You will contribute to a variety of initiatives focused on data strategy, data accessibility, process optimization, digital products, and advanced analytics, helping teams leverage data more effectively to accelerate innovation and deliver value to patients. Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Support the development and deployment of data products and analytics solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical approaches. Perform exploratory data analysis, trend analysis, and statistical modeling to support business objectives. Support AI and machine learning initiatives through data preparation, analysis, and evaluation activities. Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and data quality improvement efforts. Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Participate in Agile project teams and support delivery of digital and analytics initiatives. Stay current on emerging technologies, data science methodologies, and industry best practices. What We Expect Of You

Basic Qualifications: Master's degreeORBachelor's degree and 2 years of Data Science experienceORAssociate's degree and 6 years of Data Science experienceOR High school diploma / GED and 8 of Data Science experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience applying data science, analytics, or statistical methods to solve business problems. Experience with SQL and data analysis tools. Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Experience with Python, R, or related analytical programming languages. Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management principles. Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts and applications. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience working in cross-functional teams and Agile environments. Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred. What You Can Expect Of Us

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
