Position Assistant Sales Manager
Summary The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and profit growth within assigned channels by collaborating with brokers and distributors. This role works closely with the General Manager to develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage key accounts, and oversee sales team performance.
Sales Strategy & Growth
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, and conduct quarterly and monthly sales reviews.
Analyze sales trends, operating efficiency, and best practices to maximize profit.
Plan and implement national and regional sales promotions.
Identify and research potential customers and market opportunities.
Account & Relationship Management
Proactively contact and build strong relationships with retailers via phone, email, and in-person visits.
Provide price quotes, proposals, and credit terms to current and prospective customers.
Manage and resolve retailer needs or problems in a timely manner.
Oversee all customer inquiries, sample requests, and order confirmations.
Prepare and deliver presentations for brokers, distributors, and retailers.
Team & Operations Leadership
Oversee, direct, and supervise the activities of field sales representatives.
Review and evaluate the work and performance of the sales team.
Coordinate sales distribution by establishing territories, quotas, and goals.
Ensure the proper delivery of orders by coordinating with internal staff.
Enter and analyze sales and profit data, and maintain a log of current and potential clients.
Working Hours Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day (1-hour lunch). Flexible working hours (start 8:00–9:30, end 17:00–18:30).
Working Location Remote with frequent visits to clients.
Candidates must reside in NJ
Must be willing to travel to CA to visit headquarters a few times a year
Salary and Benefits $75K- 100K (Exempt)

PTO (1~5yrs: 14days, 5~10yrs: 19days, 10~15yrs: 24days, over 15yrs: 26days).
Holidays Saturdays, Sundays, and major US Holidays
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience (sales experience in food industry) is required.
Language: Fluency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Other: Ability to travel as needed.
