Key Responsibilities
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively solving problems and resolving conflicts.
Demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, assembling, managing, and motivating diverse project teams to achieve project objectives.
Identify project stakeholders, project requirements, and overall timelines.
Manage and coordinate with the project team to define scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
Document the communication plan, change management plan, and escalation plan.
Define team member roles and responsibilities, monitor team performance, and ensure project resources receive necessary training.
Review and manage all change requests according to defined change management processes.
Lead project meetings, status calls, coordinate project activities, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Provide regular project status updates, including progress toward achieving business case objectives.
Ensure project management software tools are updated promptly.
Provide sign-off for phase and project completion; document project outcomes and lessons learned.
Direct the activities of multiple global resources, dependent on project scope.
Collaborate within the PMO to support process improvements, foster collaboration, and report on portfolio and organizational metrics for IT.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of managing complex projects, typically with 10 years of IT project management experience in relevant industries.
At least 10+ years of experience in a Project Management role with global technology projects.
Hands‑on experience in Technical IT project management (e.g., Application, Infrastructure).
Technical background with the ability to interface with business and vendors.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, PPM Pro).
Ability to lead technical projects with limited direction.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Ability to bring projects to successful completion through organizational dynamics.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and operational skill sets.
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Strong customer service skills and focus.
Tenacious, driven, energetic, and a high degree of professional integrity.
Strong track record of on‑time, on‑budget, and to-specification project delivery.
Ability to organize, delegate, and leverage resources to accomplish objectives.
Ability to manage relationships with internal team members, outside contractors, customer stakeholders, and end‑users.
Flexibility to regularly attend meetings to accommodate Asia, US East Coast, and European time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Certifications
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.
