A Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business requirements, analyzing data, and working with stakeholders to improve systems, processes, and overall business performance. They translate business needs into clear technical requirements for development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
Evaluate current business processes and identify areas for improvement
Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs)
Work closely with IT teams, developers, and project managers
Conduct data analysis to support decision-making
Design process models, workflows, and use cases
Support testing activities like UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
Ensure solutions align with business goals
Required Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
Good communication and documentation skills
Understanding of business processes and systems
Ability to work with stakeholders and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field
Certification like CBAP, CCBA (optional but valuable)
Experience in data analysis or project management
