Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Bioengineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in a Data Scientist related occupation.
4 years of experience in programming with Python, including scientific computing and machine learning libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Experience applying supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to real‑world problems, including Random Forest, XGBoost, ensemble models, and deep learning architectures.
Version control (Git), containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
Experience with data science platforms such as Databricks and SageMaker.
Proficiency in statistical methods used in industry, including regression modeling, hypothesis testing, Bayesian methods, forecasting techniques, and time‑series analysis.
Building ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines for large‑scale, high‑dimensional datasets, familiarity with healthcare data structures and data types.
Experience with software DevOps CI/CD tools and GitLab.
Experience developing and fine‑tuning Natural Language Processing (NLP) models, including BERT, ALBERT, GPT, and other transformer‑based models.

Job type: Full Time. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $158,606.00 – $200,052.00 per year. In addition to the base salary, Amgen offers a Total Rewards Plan, including health and welfare plans, financial plans, work/life balance support, and career development opportunities.
