Description You will be a Cyber Security Engineer, Embedded in the Program Protection Organization. Our organization oversees all aspects of Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity across Missiles and Fire Control. We are chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain secure products across our Lines of Business.
What You Will Be Doing As the Cyber Security Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing anti‑tamper and embedded cybersecurity solutions across Missiles and Fire Control’s deliverable products.
Responsibilities
Providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of System Security Engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems
Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle
Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems
Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software
Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state‑of‑the‑art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products
Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber‑attacks against Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products
Integrate yourself amongst Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Systems Engineers to define and integrate System Security Engineering into a wide range of high‑integrity, security and safety‑critical systems
For a level 4, we typically look for:
9 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or 7 years of experience with a related Master’s degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Location This position is located in Dallas, TX.
Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Basic Qualifications
Experience working within the DoD systems development life‑cycle (SDLC)
Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements
Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems
Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date
Desired Skills
Experience developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) requiring Systems Security Engineering implementations is preferred
Design experience through the DoD systems development life‑cycle (SDLC) developing embedded system security solutions for DoD weapon or tactical systems
Tactical as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solving
Experience with embedded systems design
Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively
Experience with embedded system vulnerability scanning and Software Assurance (SwA) activities
Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principals and process (NIST SP 800-161)
Experience in the identification, decomposition, allocation and verification of NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls on DoD systems
Experience in supporting Security Verification testing on developed DoD Weapon Systems
Familiarity with missile and/or aircraft fire control system interfaces, design, and operation
Systems Engineering experience with Open System Architecture design and partitioning
Understanding of Critical Program Information (CPI) assessment and protection strategies
Understanding of NSA‑approved cryptographic standards and methods, and/or practical application of cryptographic algorithms
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (Cameo desirable), DODAF views, development of MBSE diagrams

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
