Job Overview An organization is seeking an experienced Lead Salesforce Developer to drive the design, development, integration, and administration of enterprise Salesforce solutions. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for modernizing business applications, enhancing platform capabilities, and delivering scalable solutions that support critical business operations.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, custom development, integrations, and platform administration. Candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, technical problem-solving abilities, and experience delivering complex Salesforce implementations will be highly considered for interview opportunities.
Must Haves
Minimum 8 years of Salesforce architecture, design, and development experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and implementing complex Salesforce integrations.
Minimum 2 years of Salesforce administration experience.
Strong proficiency with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
Experience integrating Salesforce with internal and external applications using REST, SOAP, middleware platforms, and third‑party solutions.
Deep understanding of Salesforce security, data models, governance, and platform best practices.
Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools and deployment methodologies.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
What the Client Needs You to Do This position will lead the development and evolution of Salesforce‑based solutions while helping modernize and optimize enterprise business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
Key areas of impact include:
Driving Salesforce platform strategy and technical roadmap initiatives.
Delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performing Salesforce solutions.
Leading integration efforts across multiple enterprise systems.
Supporting platform governance, administration, and data integrity.
Mentoring team members and promoting development best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strategic technical roadmap to enhance or replace existing business systems.
Design, build, test, and deploy custom Salesforce applications utilizing Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and related platform technologies.
Configure and customize Salesforce through workflows, automation, validation rules, flows, and custom business logic.
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware platforms, and integration frameworks.
Perform Salesforce administration activities including user provisioning, role management, security configuration, data governance, and platform maintenance.
Manage development, testing, and production environments, including sandbox management, metadata deployments, and release processes.
Monitor platform performance and maintain data quality through audits, cleansing activities, and import/export management.
Collaborate with project managers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business‑focused solutions.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers, administrators, and support personnel.
Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve technical challenges, and provide ongoing support for Salesforce users.
Evaluate new Salesforce features, platform enhancements, and emerging technologies to recommend continuous improvements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and development standards.
Participate in solution reviews, code reviews, and architectural planning activities.
Additional Information
Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, or similar technologies is considered a strong advantage.
Experience with data analytics and reporting platforms, including Tableau and Snowflake, is beneficial.
Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Visio, and advanced Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies is valuable.
Salesforce certifications, including Salesforce Developer and Salesforce Administrator credentials, are strongly preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
This role requires the ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical execution while supporting multiple stakeholders and business priorities.
