Overview The Systems Administrator II is responsible for maintaining the DataServ SaaS solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, providing Tier 3 infrastructure and application support and working on diverse internal projects. This position focuses on optimizing servers, systems and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the business applications supported. The Systems Administrator II performs a full range of administration functions to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency. This role works with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology. This position is a generalist by nature, with exposure to a variety of network and system administration work. Candidates with experience wearing multiple hats and collaborating across teams in smaller organizations are highly desirable. This position is located in Saint Louis, Missouri. Responsibilities Maintain DataServ SaaS solutions on AWS; provide Tier 3 infrastructure and application support. Optimize servers, systems and related components for high availability and performance. Perform a full range of administration functions to control systems and improve utilization and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology solutions. Work as a generalist with exposure to a variety of network and system administration tasks. Collaborate across teams in smaller organizations to wear multiple hats as needed. Required Education, Skills and Experience Minimum 2-4 years directly related experience in an AWS environment. 1-3 years of Linux administration experience and Linux+ certification. 1-3 years of Microsoft (Windows) server administration experience. Experience supporting, troubleshooting and optimizing at least one of the following databases: MS SQL Server, MongoDB, ElasticSearch. Experience with scripting (bash, Python, PowerShell). Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability and desire to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. May perform work requiring lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms depending on audience.
