Must have skills • 7+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives. • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle. • Demonstrated ability to independently manage mid sized to large IT projects. • Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred. • Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead end to end project management activities for complex IT initiatives, including application, integration, and AI enabled solutions. • Manage day to day execution across all project phases to ensure timely and cost effective delivery. • Develop, maintain, and govern project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and communication plans. • Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria. • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical deliverables. • Secure and coordinate project resources and funding in collaboration with leadership and functional managers. • Monitor project performance and provide regular status reporting to sponsors and stakeholders. • Communicate project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans to leadership and executives. • Ensure project deliverables comply with governance, audit, and internal control requirements. • Identify and manage cross project dependencies and resolve conflicts proactively. • Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI trends, and assess applicability to project delivery. • Perform additional project related duties as required.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives. • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle. • Demonstrated ability to independently manage mid sized to large IT projects. • Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred. • Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. • Hands on experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and non technical audiences. • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S. degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required. • CPCU designation or advanced degree is a plus.
