Tryfacta is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our client in Albany, NY, 12203. This is a temporary contract assignment. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the end-to-end execution and optimization of organic email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud - this includes initial build/design, audience segmentation, deployment, testing, and post-send analysis.
  • Execute audience segmentation, workflow configuration, and marketing automation processes to support targeted and personalized communications.
  • Conduct A/B testing, campaign quality assurance, troubleshooting, and deliverability monitoring to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to email marketing best practices and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using reporting and analytics tools, translating insights into actionable optimizations that improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Proactively assess and enhance the current state of email channels by identifying opportunities for optimization and making recommendations grounded in industry best practices and performance data.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging alignment and support broader integrated marketing initiatives across digital channels.
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Corporate Marketing team.

  • Ability to learn and apply brand styles across written content and designs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with email marketing and automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or Marketo.
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, including integration with email marketing tools.
  • Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS for email design, template editing, and responsive email development across devices and email clients.
  • Experience building and managing email workflows, automation, audience segmentation, dynamic content, and campaign triggers.
  • Experience conducting campaign quality assurance, troubleshooting deployment issues, and running A/B testing to optimize performance.
  • Strong understanding of email campaign analytics, reporting, and performance optimization, including working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM and other compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Marketing Technology Stacks, and basic data management concepts.
  • Basic experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva for minor image editing and content preparation.
  • Awareness of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design and knowledge for ensuring compliance.

Education, Certifications, Degree requirements:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Preference to certifications in Salesforce.

General Guidance for Expected Years of Experience:

  • 1-3 years.

Technical & Professional Skills & Knowledge:

  • Has demonstrated a basic understanding of fundamental analytical principles.
  • Knowledgeable in at least one technical or programmatic area in which the Authority is currently involved.
  • Has awareness of relevant energy related aspects of research, environmental science and economics.
  • Basic skills include an ability to interpret and analyze.
  • Ability to produce quality communications and demonstrate an aptitude to learn.

Creativity in Project & Program Development:

  • Implements task and project ideas suggested by others.
  • Assists other project managers to develop and manage projects or manages own projects under close supervision.

Organization Skills & Productivity:

  • Is productive on assignments but dependent on others for direction.
  • Has capability to manage technical and cost control aspects of multiple on-going projects with close supervision.
  • Approaches tasks logically and makes effective use of time and resources in performing work.
  • Ability to assist in project's inception and through to completion, showing an ability to figure out next steps.

Leadership / Interpersonal Relations/ Judgement:

  • Has good interpersonal relations with staff.
  • Has friendly, helpful and positive attitude.
  • Able to take direction criticism from superior and other senior staff.

Communication Skills & External Relations:

  • Has demonstrated ability to produce written products which are logical, technically and grammatically correct, but may require editing due to lack of familiarity with energy deployment issues/needs/problems and Authority programmatic needs.
  • Verbal skills show organization, good use of English and technical competence, but may reflect lack of experience or confidence.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish contacts outside the Authority with suggestions from other staff.
