Laundry Aid

Regular part-time position (unionized)
Workplace: Prescott and Russell Residence
Schedule: up to 32 hours/week
Hourly rate: $27.84 to $28.77 (day/evening rotation)

In the laundry department, the attendant uses commercial washers and dryers to wash and dry residents' clothing and bedding. This includes washing, sorting, ironing, folding, drying, labeling and distributing the mentioned items.

• High school diploma.
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to operate washers and dryers as well as all equipment related to the laundry and to apply safety rules.
• Knowledge of Outlook.
• Knowledge of the garment identification program.
• Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
• Previous experience in a laundry or laundry service or in a similar position would be an asset.

A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated no longer than three months prior to the date when it has been requested) and is a condition of employment.
