The Opportunity The Enterprise Communications Services 3 (ECS3) program supports our intel customer across its many operating locations. Our focus is to help the organization technically transform its current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are charged with the development of new designs, its implementation, and operation of the new and/or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement by tech modernization for our LANs, WAN, UC, Video telecommunication and Streaming services.
Responsibilities As a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you'll be challenged with enterprise support problems where you will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and other Operational staff to address break/fix, configuration updates, scheduled adds/moves/changes and technology upgrades and installs for network routers and switches. You are expected as one of the experienced Network team members to coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions. You will support the development of technical resolution reports for critical outages in the Network.
More About The Role In this role the Network Administrator will be responsible for:
Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLAN, ACL and port assignment.
Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
Works independently with some supervision.
In remote locations must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solving with minimal or intermittent input from other Tiers/locations.
Problems faced are difficult, will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
Perform Network ticket resolution.
Support Network ticket closure across Network Operations staff to include:
Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, and cryptographic devices.
Use administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, problems and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems.
Routing Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.
Performs root cause analyses.
Completes problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s).
Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Qualifications Required:
IAT II and CCNA Certification
TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly
Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x)
In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
Working knowledge of Cisco ISE

Pay Range There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $75,200-$158,100
