Job Summary and Qualifications As a Dietary Technician at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital. In this role:
You will screen patients for nutrition status and assist in the development and implementation of nutrition plans.
You will be responsible for provision of correct, appropriate meal trays for patients and ensure that quality standards are met. You will record daily dietary data for patients and provide pertinent diet information to Dietitians regarding the special needs of patients. You will monitor menus for food and drug interactions. You will demonstrate knowledge of medical/healthcare error reporting and use an interdisciplinary collaborative team approach to patient care planning. You will provide direction and leadership to Food & Nutrition Services Associates on weekends or when supervisor is absent. You will ensure client, customer service/satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly customer service and modeling/promoting that level of service to other team members What qualifications you will need:
