Central Sterile Technician Surgery Department | Wilson Medical Center Join a team where every detail matters and every role makes a difference. At Wilson Medical Center, we believe exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Sterile Technician to join our Surgery team. Whether preparing instruments for a procedure, supporting the surgical team, or ensuring a safe and sterile environment, you'll play a vital role in helping our patients receive the highest quality care close to home. What You'll Do As a Central Sterile Technician, you will:
Clean, inspect, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment. Maintain inventory and distribute sterile supplies throughout the department. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures. Clean and restock operating rooms between cases. Assist with surgical procedures as a scrub technician when qualified. Support surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team by ensuring instruments and supplies are available when needed. Help maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile environment for our patients and staff. Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards at all times.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Previous Central Sterile Processing experience. Previous healthcare or medical experience.
