We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to guide the development of our next-generation CoCounsel product. In this role, you’ll empower a team of talented engineers, oversee the end-to-end creation of robust UI and backend systems, and influence strategic decisions that drive our product forward. About the Role Lead & Inspire: Manage a high‑performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth. Architect & Build: Oversee the design and implementation of UI and backend solutions using modern frameworks and technologies, stepping in to code when necessary. Strategize & Collaborate: Work with cross‑functional teams—product managers, designers, and other leaders—to define product strategy, set technical direction, and deliver innovative features. Drive Execution: Own the team roadmap and project lifecycle, ensuring that initiatives move from ideation to successful production launches. Mentor & Develop: Coach junior engineers, support professional development, and cultivate an environment where everyone can excel. Measure Impact: Define success metrics to track and evaluate project outcomes, using data‑driven insights to guide future decisions. Shape Technology: Provide guidance on architecture, design, and best practices for front‑end and back‑end development. Recruit & Grow: Play a pivotal role in hiring top engineering talent and expanding the team’s capabilities. Qualifications Technical Expertise: 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, with meaningful individual contributor work in the last 2–3 years and a proven track record leading the development of scalable, web‑based solutions. Front‑end & Back‑end Mastery: Experience with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar), TypeScript, Node.js, and Python. AI Familiarity: Comfortable with AI technologies, including GenAI concepts like prompt engineering, agentic system design, Model Context Protocol (MCP), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and LLM orchestration frameworks. Team Leadership: 2+ years of managing engineering teams, with success in coaching, mentoring, and nurturing talent. Problem‑Solving Skills: Ability to navigate ambiguity, make data‑driven decisions, and deliver impactful results in a fast‑paced environment. Strategic Mindset: Adept at driving product innovation and ensuring that technical decisions align with broader business goals. Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Proven success in recruiting, managing performance, and cultivating a positive team culture. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, including vector databases, model serving and deployment pipelines, and cost/latency optimization for LLM‑powered products.
