*Job Title*: IT Support Technician Department: Finance Location: Doncaster Salary: £30,000 per year Working Hours: 37 hours per week (office-based) Travel: Occasional travel to Sandy depot as required
*Overview:* Our client is seeking a reliable and self-motivated IT Support Technician to support the day-to-day IT operations across the UK business. You will provide hands-on technical support to users, maintain IT infrastructure, liaise with third-party providers, and ensure secure, smooth IT services for the organisation.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Act as the primary point of contact for all IT support issues across the UK business.
* Work closely with Group IT to ensure alignment with group policies and procedures.
* Provide first and second line support for hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.
* Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees (equipment setup and access management).
* Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Office apps).
* Manage user accounts and permissions.
* Monitor and maintain IT equipment, software licensing, backups, and cybersecurity controls.
* Maintain accurate IT asset registers, system documentation, and support records.
* Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and IT projects.
* Ensure compliance with company IT policies, GDPR and security best practices.
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall IT efficiency.
*Skills & Experience*
* Proven experience in an IT support role.
* Ability to work independently in a standalone role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
* Understanding of IT security, backups, and business continuity.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workload effectively.
*Desirable Skills*
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments.
* Knowledge of ERP/business systems support (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision).
* Experience in Construction/Manufacturing/Civil Engineering or Services industries.
*Other Requirements*
* Full UK Driving Licence.
