Providing senior technical leadership, the full-time Lead Scientific Data Engineer will develop implementation roadmaps and architectures for core scientific data systems, while leading the design of automated systems and workflows to support genomic data processing in a hybrid work environment. Key responsibilities
Develop technical implementation roadmaps and long-term strategies for scientific data and compute platforms Lead the design and implementation of automated systems, APIs, and workflows for genomic data movement and management Enhance the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of production data systems while ensuring sustainable operations
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience in designing and operating production software and data systems for metadata management and workflow orchestration Advanced knowledge of data and software engineering principles for data-intensive distributed systems Experience with databases and data storage technologies, including relational and object storage Proficiency in Python and familiarity with additional programming languages
