Data Engineer - Talend & Secure Public Sector, Agile

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a major public sector programme. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust data solutions within a secure environment, working closely with Agile delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build and support data integration and data processing solutions
Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Talend and related technologies
Write and optimise complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts
Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) where required
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborative ways of working
Ensure solutions align with security, governance and development standards
Support testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation of data solutions
Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong experience as a Data Engineer in enterprise environments
Talend (ETL / data integration)
Unix / Linux
Oracle SQL
Experience working with Jira & Confluence
Proven experience working in Agile delivery teams
SC clearance (active or eligible)
Experience working on public sector programmes (highly desirable)
Desirable / Optional Skills:
Oracle PL/SQL
HashiCorp Vault
GitLab
AWS
Knowledge of the D4D (Design for Delivery) development lifecycle
Berlin JobScheduler
Test Automation Frameworks
Data Modelling
Artifactory
