Regional Sales Manager – Valves (Job ID #38901) Location: North Houston (preferably Houston). Compensation: up to $90,000 base salary plus bonus. Travel required, including overnight travel. Company vehicle and expense account provided.
Territory: Will cover part of 20 manufacturing reps across North America.
Duties
Lead, support, and motivate a network of independent manufacturers' representatives across multiple territories to achieve and exceed regional sales objectives
Develop and execute regional sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets in collaboration with representatives and company leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with representatives, end users, engineers, contractors, and key accounts to drive product acceptance, specification, and market growth
Conduct field visits, product demonstrations, joint sales calls, and customer meetings to support sales development and product adoption
Coordinate sales and marketing efforts throughout the representative network by providing product training, sales tools, performance feedback, and ongoing communication
Collaborate with representatives and internal stakeholders to develop pricing strategies for both day-to-day business and project opportunities
Establish, maintain, evaluate, and manage representative relationships, including territory assignments, contract matters, and inter-representative coordination
Drive product approvals and sustained acceptance among major end users, engineering firms, contractors, and other key market influencers
Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, customer feedback, and industry trends to leadership, marketing, and product teams
Work cross-functionally with inside sales, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and product management teams to ensure customer requirements are met and sales opportunities are successfully executed
Assist in the planning and execution of trade shows, product seminars, tabletop events, sales meetings, and other promotional activities to support regional growth initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor of Business Administration/Science with 5-10 years’ experience and demonstrated ability and experience
Technology savvy; quick study on new programs; basic accounting skills
Valve experience HIGHLY preferred; industrial and sales management REQUIRED
Driven, focused and passionate; detailed, strong communicator, and organized
Proven experience in sales management; motivator, coach and collaborator
Strong ability to work with exclusive reps and end users
Other Info
Bonus % of GP of sales for region
Established, stable, growing international company; team members have built long tenure
Most travel will be air travel but some car travel in the Gulf Coast areas
Factory travel international occasionally; passport required
