Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Engineer (GCP) to join their team. As a Data Engineer (GCP), you will be part of the Global Risk & Compliance Technology (GRCT) supporting innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Data Engineer (GCP)
Location: Charlotte, NC
What's the Job?
Evaluate data requirements and develop stories to support business needs.
Build and optimize data pipelines and database designs for performance, scalability, and security.
Collaborate in design reviews, testing, and provide support in production environments.
Operate data assets according to established standards, guidelines, and policies.
Implement Big Data solutions such as partitioning and indexing to meet requirements.
What's Needed?
Hands‑on experience with GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and manipulation.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
Understanding of data modeling principles and techniques.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and standard processes.
