We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator to provide IT service desk, systems, network, and security operations support for Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR). The role supports end users, Microsoft infrastructure, and mission-critical business systems in hybrid work environments.
Job Details This position is remote/hybrid and requires willingness to work on-site at the Central UNICOR office in Washington, DC when required. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. Travel to remote locations is required. The position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities You will
Monitor network devices and connected systems to ensure computers, routers, hubs, and switches are operating efficiently and reliably.
Troubleshoot network anomalies and connectivity issues under the direction of the lead Network Administrator to restore service and minimize disruptions.
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software to meet operational requirements.
Assist with network administration activities, user support, and system performance monitoring to help maintain a secure and stable network environment.
Qualifications
Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
A minimum of 4 years of networking experience.
CompTIA Security+ certification can substitute for 1 year of experience.
