Collaborative Real Estate (CRE) develops, manages, and activates real estate within university-affiliated research and innovation ecosystems. Our properties are designed to foster connection, collaboration, and long-term community impact. Select CRE venues host curated events that align with our mission, brand standards, and operating philosophy.
The Opportunity This role is primarily a sales role and we want to be upfront about that.
The Event Sales & Venue Experience Manager is responsible for building and managing a pipeline of event bookings for our event space(s) in Tech Square / Midtown Atlanta. That means outbound prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and actively hunting for new business, not just responding to inbound leads. Once the sale is made, you’ll also steward the client relationship from contract through post-event load‑out, serving as the on‑site venue representative.
If you’re energized by owning a number, building relationships from scratch, and closing deals, and you can also bring operational discipline to the client experience, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do Event Sales & Pipeline Development (primary focus)
Proactively prospect and develop new business through cold outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn), networking, and community engagement across the Tech Square / Midtown Atlanta ecosystem
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of corporate, academic, and private event bookings
Lead venue tours and represent CRE event spaces clearly and compellingly
Respond to and convert inbound event inquiries through pricing, availability, and booking discussions
Prepare and execute contracts and invoices in coordination with internal systems
Track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue in an organized, disciplined way
Maintain an accurate event calendar and sales pipeline
Pre‑Event Venue Coordination
Serve as the primary venue point of contact once contracts are executed
Provide guidance on approved vendors, load‑in/out procedures, insurance and COI requirements, space capabilities, restrictions, and policies
Schedule and conduct site visits; collect and review required documentation (COIs, floor plans)
Confirm room layouts and space usage in alignment with venue standards
Note: Clients and event hosts are responsible for vendor coordination, event programming, and production execution.
On‑Site Event Oversight
Be present on‑site as the venue representative during events
Provide venue access and ensure approved layouts and timelines are followed
Serve as the real‑time point of contact for venue‑related questions or issues
Enforce venue policies and protect the integrity of the space
Post‑Event Walkthrough & Reset
Conduct post‑event walkthroughs and document damages, cleaning issues, or policy violations
Ensure space reset and readiness for the next scheduled use
Coordinate internal follow‑up related to venue condition as needed
