Responsibilities Monitor organizational networks and systems continuously to detect and respond to potential security threats and vulnerabilities Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to strengthen system defenses Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures aligned with industry standards Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact Analyze logs, alerts, and security events using SIEM tools to identify suspicious activities Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure system architecture and design Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO, NIST, and other cybersecurity frameworks Develop and maintain incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies Perform security audits and recommend improvements to enhance overall system security posture Educate employees on security best practices and promote awareness across the organization Manage firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions Track emerging cyber threats and proactively implement countermeasures Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, procedures, and mitigation steps Assist in implementing identity and access management solutions Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity resilience
