We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in Germany — someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive customer success and technical wins. As a Sales Engineer, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, driving strategic engagements and delivering tailored solutions that address complex data security and management challenges.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Uncover and develop new customer opportunities by articulating the value of Cohesity solutions to both business and technical audiences
Lead technical sales engagements for customers, from discovery to solution validatio
Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations
Create excellent technical solution proposals based on technical discovery, industry and domain expertise aligned to customer's business value drivers, pain points and positive business outcomes
Identify and proactively address technical risks to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction
Drive and execute proof of concepts (PoCs) that clearly demonstrate technical capabilities to demonstrate business value
Assure strong pre‑sales planning to enable customers to successfully integrate or extend Cohesity into their production environments, together with our professional services team and technical channel partner network
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to align on customer needs and product improvements
WE'D LOVE TO TALK IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
Proven experience in Sales Engineering, Pre‑Sales Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre‑Sales
Strong background in enterprise IT environments (e.g., data protection, cloud, databases, or infrastructure)
Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences
Experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder customer engagements
Strong understanding of competitive positioning and solution differentiation
Technical expertise
Deep understanding of data protection, cyber resilience, or modern data platforms
Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments
Familiarity with enterprise applications, databases, and infrastructure technologies
Industry certifications (cloud, database, or related technologies) are a plus
Contributions to technical content such as white papers, demos, or training materials
Your leadership & influence
Contribute to Sales Engineering enablement and training programs
Represent Cohesity at customers, customer events, partner conferences, or internal initiatives
Develop reusable assets such as demo environments, presentations, and best practices
Act as a go‑to expert beyond your immediate team, at regional or geo level

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in pre‑sales or technical sales roles
