Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Hardware Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Hardware Technician, you will be part of the technical support department supporting the IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Center Hardware Technician Location: Gainesville, VA Pay Range: $28.00 per hour What's the Job? Maintain the hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break‑fix repairs on faulty components. Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols. Conduct post‑execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds. What's Needed? Knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. IT troubleshooting and networking experience. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Data center experience preferred.
