Sales Account Manager We are hiring a Sales Account Manager to drive new business and manage existing accounts in the Memphis region, including LA, MS, & AL, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
About the Position The Sales Account Manager will establish a sales development strategy to identify, qualify, and sell to new customers in their assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Cultivate relationships with and drive new business through Pregis channel partner distributor network.
Manage growth and retention of an established book of end‑user business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships, sales strategy development, and sales forecasting.
Initiate and quote new items; coordinate with operations, customer service, engineering, and new product development to deliver competitive and effective solutions.
Establish legitimate sales forecasts within the assigned territory to plan for overall sales volume and profit; regularly analyze market position, profitability, and competitive impact.
Manage all administrative duties within the territory in a timely and accurate fashion; act with urgency at assigned accounts, support A/R, optimize pricing and profitability, manage CRM, T&E, etc.
Experience & Qualifications
University degree or college diploma in business or package engineering major preferred.
Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sale experience.
Impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business.
Drive new business through existing distribution network within established territory.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
Highly effective negotiation and communication skills.
Capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials.
Results oriented, highly motivated to perform with minimal direct management.
High degree of personal and professional ethical standards.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Organized, effective time management skills.
Working knowledge of Pregis products, applications, and manufacturing capabilities.
Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic machine repairs.
Occasional heavy lifting required.
Travel requirements (up to 40%).
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
