Role Summary GovCIO is hiring a Network Engineer to support the AFSCI network in San Antonio, TX. The role is on‑site and focuses on system planning, design, installation, and performance monitoring of network hardware and software.
Responsibilities
Coordinate planning, design, and installation of networking equipment.
Participate in system conceptual design and documentation.
Install new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
Design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices.
Generate system‑level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
Review test plans and procedures to ensure they meet contractual requirements and participate in testing to validate requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
High School diploma with 9+ years of experience (or commensurate).
TS/SCI clearance.
Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
Current CCNA certification.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and collaborate with team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain on‑site lab environment for testing and development prior to network implementation.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with soft skills such as leadership, negotiation, prioritization, and decision‑making.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Current CCNP certification.
Posted Salary Range USD $120,000.00 – USD $125,000.00 per year.
