About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Network Engineer
to support customer‑facing deployments and ongoing network operations across multiple environments. This role is hands‑on and field‑oriented, focused on designing, installing, configuring, and supporting secure, high‑availability networks for new installations and existing customer sites.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in live production environments, understands structured cabling and enterprise networking, and can independently manage projects while collaborating with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and support network infrastructure at customer sites, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems Support new system deployments and upgrades for enterprise and municipal customers Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, and wireless networks Configure and support network security, including firewall rules, segmentation, and access controls Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation in live environments Support IP‑based systems such as video surveillance, access control, and IoT/edge devices Conduct site surveys and provide network design recommendations Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, IP schemas, and as‑built drawings Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and low‑voltage teams during installations Provide post‑deployment support and ongoing network maintenance
Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience
as a Network Engineer or Network Technician Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals Experience configuring managed switches (VLANs, trunking, PoE, STP) Experience with firewalls and network security best practices Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in the field Experience working on customer sites and in production environments Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Aruba, or similar enterprise networking platforms Experience supporting IP video surveillance and access control systems Knowledge of fiber optics, SFPs, and network cabling standards Familiarity with Microsoft environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) Industry certifications (CCNA, Network+, or similar) are a plus
