Quanex is looking for a Systems Applications Business Analyst in St. Cloud or Mounds View, Minnesota.
Systems Applications Business Analyst gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments and process-mappings, and develops functional specifications while assisting with technical specifications to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives. Serves as a liaison between development teams and the internal/external customer or end user. Follows an established requirements gathering process to identify requirements. Leads business application projects and communicates requirements to the development teams using specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Coordinates with developers, quality assurance teams, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance. May develop user documentation or training materials. Provides ongoing advanced application support to business end-users.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. Quanex will not provide sponsorship for this position. Candidates must also be local to Minnesota, as relocation will not be offered for this position.

What Success Looks Like:
Act as a trusted advisor, effectively aligning business needs with IT solutions across all levels of the organization
Deliver complex application and ERP projects on time and within budget while meeting all business requirements
Translate business processes into scalable, efficient system solutions with clear, actionable specifications
Drive measurable process improvements that increase operational efficiency and support business growth
Ensure all applications, integrations, and systems are optimized, reliable, and aligned with strategic goals
Lead successful implementations, configurations, and upgrades with strong change management and minimal disruption
Establish high user adoption through impactful training, responsive support, and continuous engagement
Proactively identify risks, system gaps, and improvement opportunities, and deliver forward‑thinking, value‑driven solutions
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (master’s or certifications a plus)
8+ years of overall IT experience, including hands‑on applications and systems work
Proven experience (4+ years) in applications roles, including Business Applications or ERP Systems analysis
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful IT projects
Deep functional knowledge of ERP systems, especially in manufacturing and/or financial modules
Experience with ERP configuration and optimization (NetSuite, E21, or similar systems preferred)
Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory management processes
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
The salary range for this position is $92K-$112K with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
