Experience Four years work experience with desktop support.
Required Skills
Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve desktop computer problems; correct and report any anomalies.
Use diagnostic software and technical troubleshooting processes; work closely with network staff to manage desktop endpoint security.
Manage PCs and laptops: install, configure and provide support for desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals; provide user training as required.
Provide software and hardware upgrades to ensure efficient system operations for users.
Research and install new software on workstations as needed; add/configure new users and troubleshoot mailbox problems.
Support miscellaneous equipment, such as audio-visual equipment, cellphone and mobile communication devices.
Assist in training users in the use of computer equipment.
Keep an accurate inventory of equipment in use; update inventory as necessary and verify equipment slated for disposal; manage stock room and parts inventory.
Install, relocate, and perform operational checks on computer equipment; maintain awareness of advances in computer technology.
Assist with Accounts Management and function as Service Desk support personnel.
Function as next level support and training for TSAI and TSAII.
Assist with developing/verifying desktop images and triage of basic clinical and business applications.
Demonstrate project management skills to successfully lead desktop support projects.
Work with Network Team on advanced projects and act as liaison between Applications, Telecom and Network/Infrastructure staff.
Perform related work as required.
Physical Demands Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to transfer up to 50 pounds; some risk of electrical shock. Must be able to travel to various system locations. Work may require performance of physically demanding tasks in cramped areas. Requires good hearing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity. Requires concentration on fine details for extended periods with constant interruptions. Must be able to pick up new tasks and responsibilities with minimal training. Prolonged or irregular hours such as weekends and after-hours are occasionally required. Work may be scheduled in rotating shifts.
