LHH Recruitment is working with a nonprofit organization with a newly created position for a
Content Marketing Manager
with recent or current experience in developing content and strategy within the financial services or investments industry.
In this role, you’ll lead the development and execution of content strategy that will include high‑quality financial markets, economics, and sustainability content to strengthen the brand and drive engagement. You’ll need to translate complex financial data into clear narratives with data‑driven insights and create compelling visual stories designed for institutional audiences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, economics, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
5+ years of current or recent experience in writing for investments, financial communications, economic commentary, or institutional marketing.
Ability to translate complex economic and financial concepts into accessible, compelling content.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio to match.
Strong knowledge of institutional investment concepts, capital markets, investment performance, sustainability, and impact investing.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (able to work with data).
Good to have
Experience within institutional asset management, investment consulting, or similar.
Knowledge of data visualization concepts and experience with creative/design workflows.
Experience developing integrated marketing and communications from concept to production, including writing for digital, print, web, and social media.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead institutional content strategy including short and long‑term planning, organization‑wide thought leadership direction, and content framework.
Maintain and refine the firm’s investment voice and narrative.
Partner with internal teams on insights and fund performance, trends, themes, and developments.
Edit and ghostwrite content for investment leadership, maintaining clarity and tone.
Partner with teams to monitor markets, asset‑class themes, sustainability trends, and portfolio positioning, translating perspectives into high‑quality content including market commentary, fund updates, thematic blogs, quarterly narratives, investor insights, and white papers.
Raise financial and investment awareness among stakeholders including retirement plan participants, plan sponsors/employers, and clients.
Incorporate content strategy into broader marketing strategy across digital, web, and social media, devising measures for success and content reporting cadence.
Stay current with competitor thought leadership and broader industry commentary, regularly circulating relevant commentary to inform stakeholders.
Support preparation of materials for investor meetings and events while managing editorial calendars aligned with organizational priorities.

Pay Details:
$100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
