Account Manager – Accelerated Sales Program White Cap is North America’s leading distributor for professional contractors, supplying everything contractors need to build our nation’s remarkable construction projects, including stadiums, roads, bridges, highways, residential housing, and more.
We are looking for a sales professional to join our Accelerated Sales Program, a comprehensive training program designed to fast‑track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives and Account Managers.

The Accelerated Sales Program is a sales‑specific training program designed to fast‑track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers. Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6–12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales.
Key Responsibilities
Participates in classroom, independent study, and on‑the‑job training to learn the White Cap business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
Prepares and executes account plans.
Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
Enters and processes customer orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Operates a company vehicle or personal vehicle more than 80% of the average work week. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or one to two years of sales or related field experience.
Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members.
Strong self‑governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
Competitive nature with a drive to succeed.
Goal‑oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics.
Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities.
Spanish language proficiency.
Pay Range (California) California law requires posting of the salary range for advertised jobs. This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job. Individual base pay is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
