Description The primary responsibilities for a self‑motivated individual are evaluating products and processes to ensure quality, as well as other assigned duties. In this position, you will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities
Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, (using a variety of precision instruments) and reject/return unacceptable materials.
Conduct process and product audits using given measurement devices
Effective use of tape measure and calipers
Oversee product, processes & procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
Record data for internal analysis and keep accurate documentation
Ensure all activities are aligned with company policies
Maintain a clean work environment at all times
Implementation of quality assurance training
Aid in the development of quality testing procedures for products
Identify and remedy defects within the production process
Recommend, implement and monitor preventative and corrective actions for non conformances
Investigate product issues
Commit to company culture that includes the willingness to cooperate with, and be respectful towards co-workers, managers, and supervisors
Maintain high standards of ownership, accountability, and integrity
Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
Communicate with internal departments to report problems and/or needed changes
Perform related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Must be able to work with metric & SAE units of measure
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent problem solver
Knowledge or experience with automated manufacturing equipment a plus
Strong ability to understand technical specifications
Strong ability to multitask and prioritize work against tight timelines, operate with a sense of urgency and perform well under pressure
Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and work the hours of 2pm -10:30pm and OT as workload requires
Must be able to read and write English
Physical Requirements
Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, stand, and twist on a daily basis
Must be able to stand and sit for extended period of time on a daily basis
