Ridwell is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our inaugural Door‑to‑Door Sales team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to directly impact our company’s growth, enhance brand recognition, and grow your sales/professional skills. Plus, you will contribute to a greener future by selling a product that has already diverted over 29 million pounds of waste from landfills.
Field Sales Representative You will be the face of Ridwell, educating and informing homeowners about our mission and services. This position is ideal for someone who is energized by meaningful conversations about environmental sustainability and is looking for a role outside the traditional office setting. If you have experience working in political canvassing, grassroots, solar sales or a similar field, you might be a great fit!
Compensation $20.00 per hour plus commission. Total Earnings $37.50/hour for reps meeting quota. Our Field Reps cover Marin, San Francisco, East Bay and the South Bay.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Sales: Engage in door‑to‑door sales within assigned neighborhoods to drive subscriptions to Ridwell's service
Customer Engagement: Communicate effectively with homeowners, providing clear, honest information about Ridwell’s mission, product, and benefits, and addressing any questions or concerns
Goal Achievement: Work independently to consistently meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, appointments, and customer feedback using company-provided tools
Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to supervisors
Team Collaboration: Attend and actively contribute to team meetings and training sessions, staying updated on sales techniques and product developments
Brand Representation: Uphold Ridwell’s values and professional image in all interactions with potential customers
Environmental Stewardship: Contribute to the Ridwell team’s collective effort to keep waste out of landfills by empowering prospective customers to waste less with Ridwell
Qualifications and Requirements
You are a motivated and driven individual with a positive outlook and passion for engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. You thrive in dynamic environments, are quick on your feet and see challenges as opportunities for growth
Location: Our Field Reps cover Marin, North Bay, East Bay, South Bay and the Peninsula
Sales Experience: 1–2 years of proven success in door‑to‑door or direct sales preferred
Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with social and nonverbal cues and adjust communication styles to build trust with customers
Independence: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to achieve targets
Adaptability: Strong ability to think quickly and adapt to new situations
Attention to Detail: Careful and accurate in your sales approach and data recording
Continuous Improvement: Strong commitment to continuous learning, self‑improvement, and innovation in sales strategies
Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in environmental sustainability and recycling
Technical Requirements: A mobile smartphone and reliable transportation are required. Access to a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license strongly preferred
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
Position: Part‑time position (25 hours per week); standard shifts are 2–7pm on weekdays & 10–3 on weekends, flexible days of the week worked
