Counter Sales Associate
What you will be doing
Provide auto‑parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone
Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions
Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits our store
Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast‑paced stores
Welcome retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system

Have experience in the automotive industry or have tinkered with cars & trucks through the year
Are willing to learn all things automotive if you lack a specific background

What you’ll need
Valid driver's license
Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Love fast‑paced retail environments
Great listening skills and empathy for customers
Additional desirable qualifications
Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision
Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal)
ASE certifications

This position offers hourly pay of $17. Many hourly positions have pay progression with set starting rates and you can reach the top end of this range within 12 months of hire. For other positions, the starting rate is determined by individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
