Position Overview Special Processes Quality Assurance Engineer – Walton, Kentucky. Supports Wheels & Brakes and Systems & Equipment divisions. Works with the Material and Special Processes Quality Assurance Manager to qualify, validate and continuously improve Special Processes applied to Safran LS Wheel & Brakes parts. Key Responsibilities Lead qualification and monitor the wheels & brakes supply chain (internal and external) for chemical processes and non‑destructive testing commodities in the American region. Provide technical support to the internal and external supply chain during the industrial validation of development and serial production, including formalization of technical requirements, validation program design, risk analysis and results validation. Support the deployment of new processes, transfers and industrializations in alignment with purchasing strategy. Drive the treatment of non‑conformities in special processes: root‑cause analysis, 8D, transversalization, identification and implementation of preventive solutions. Contribute to the robustness improvement of special processes from study to manufacturing using PFMEA and taking into account Safran LS features. Technically assess new sources identified by purchasing. Qualifications & Skills Specialist experience in special processes such as anodization, paint, shot peening, NDT, etc. Auditor experience in special processes. Proficiency with 8D, PFMEA, and other root‑cause and risk analysis tools. Strong rigor, organization, and autonomy in work. Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and negotiation capability. Travel & Availability Business trips expected, mainly to the USA, with variable travel schedules.
