Über
Develop, implement, monitor, and direct enterprise security strategies for the City of New Orleans.
Establish and amend security policies that protect network, systems, and data environments.
Present reports on security performance at the engineering, manager, and executive levels.
Support reporting mechanisms to capture information on the current status of the environment.
Standardize all incident identification, tracking, and reporting procedures.
Investigate and recommend methods and techniques for solutions.
Provide managerial and technical guidance for all security projects in complex networked environments.
Perform related work as required.
Employees may work fixed or rotating shifts, Saturdays and emergencies. Employees are considered essential and must report to work in declared emergencies.
Qualifications
At least five (5) years of progressively responsible information technology experience, including the use of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti‑virus software, or related technology.
At least two (2) years of supervisory experience within that period.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), engineering, telecommunications, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
