As a Network Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing network infrastructure projects and ensuring the reliability and security of the corporate network. Responsibilities Assist in the design and implementation of complex network solutions, including Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Virtual Private Network (VPN). Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks and optimize efficiency. Monitor and optimize system performance, addressing advanced issues. Implement and maintain robust security measures. Maintain ownership of change management. Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for system-related issues. Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and procedures. Coordinate system upgrades and modifications with other IT staff. Conduct regular system tests to ensure functionality and reliability. Manage data handling, conversion, and storage solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff. Recommend and implement improvements to network infrastructure and processes. Qualifications You Must Have Active US Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required. 2+ years of experience in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong understanding of network security protocols. Prior experience with network administration in Windows and Linux environments. Prior experience networking hosts in both physical and virtualized environments. Extensive knowledge of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Advanced experience with Cisco networking equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with others. Demonstrate a customer care philosophy that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction. Proven organizational skills with attention to detail. FAA Class III Medical Certification required. Candidates without current certification must obtain it prior to hire. Ability to complete Altitude Chamber training and qualification. We Prefer Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification. CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) or equivalent DOD 8140 IAT Level III certification. Proficiency in DNS, basic networking with switches and firewalls such as Cisco and Palo Alto Networks. Experience networking thin clients in a virtualized environment. Hands‑on experience with zero‑trust networking. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and AHV. Functional scripting with languages such as PowerShell and Python. Basic functionality with Debian or Redhat Linux. Basic functionality in Microsoft server solutions such as Active Directory and Windows Server. Familiarity managing Windows 11. Essential Functions Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly. Work primarily at a computer for extended periods. Frequent use of hand and finger dexterity for computer work. Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required. Ability to participate in afterhours on‑call duties. Estimated Starting Salary Range $74,581.13 - $102,549.04, with variation depending on key skills, relevant experience, education, and certifications. Geographic differential may be adjusted for the location of the position.
