The Deamer Group is partnering with Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN), a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit founded in 1984, to hire a full-time Development Coordinator.
MCN builds practical solutions at the intersection of migration, vulnerability, and health. Through training, technical assistance, resource and tool development, and opportunities for connection, we support tens of thousands of health care providers, community health workers, outreach teams, and other clinicians across the United States and Puerto Rico. We also provide direct care coordination to migrants, immigrants, and other underserved and historically marginalized communities.
Our life-saving work is powered by a diverse and passionate team committed to health justice. Most of our staff work remotely, with offices located in Salisbury, MD, and San Juan, PR.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator plays a central role in supporting MCN's growing revenue strategy and expanding fundraising programs. As MCN continues to diversify its funding from individual donors and foundations, this position provides essential operational, relational, and administrative support across the department. The Development Coordinator will contribute to building and strengthening foundational systems, processes, and donor engagement practices. This role may be remote or hybrid based on location.
Responsibilities- Enter, update, and maintain donor, gift, opportunity, and contact information in eTapestry.
- Process donations, generate acknowledgment letters and tax receipts, and submit matching gift forms.
- Partner with Programs and Finance teams to track grants and institutional funders.
- Conduct regular data audits to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Reconcile eTapestry entries with QuickBooks and ensure data alignment with Mailchimp in partnership with Finance and Communications teams.
- Manage organization profiles on third-party giving platforms.
- Generate standard and customized reports on donor activity and fundraising performance.
- Develop and update SOPs for eTapestry and related development processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries to the development department.
- Support implementation of the multi-year fundraising strategy in collaboration with Communications to drive donor growth and retention.
- Assist in planning and executing development-related events including logistics, RSVP tracking, attendance management, and follow-up.
- Support the stewardship calendar by coordinating donor recognition, engagement, reporting, and acknowledgments.
- Assist the Director of Development and executive leadership in major donor activities by preparing materials, documenting interactions, and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Schedule and coordinate donor meetings, development events, and internal activities.
- Support direct mail campaigns including list development, production timelines, and mailing logistics.
- Maintain inventory of development tools and printed collateral and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Organize donor records across eTapestry and SharePoint.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure alignment with development timelines and needs.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, send reminders, and support meeting and event execution as needed.
- Participate actively in organization-wide strategic planning and goal alignment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comfort working with data and technology to support accuracy, efficiency, and informed decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with donors, staff, and external partners.
- Demonstrates tact, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions.
- Ability to build collaborative relations across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Passion for philanthropy and donor engagement rooted in mission alignment, shared values, and social justice.
- Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and virtual meeting platforms; experience with eTapestry or other CRM systems preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 23 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related role preferred.
- Familiarity with public health, social determinants of health, and/or immigrant and migrant communities is a plus.
Salary Range: $45,000-$53,000 per year Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, etc. MCN offers full-time employees a competitive and comprehensive benefits package; details will be shared during the interview process.
Physical & Travel Requirements- Prolonged periods of computer and desk-based work.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
