Lead Network Engineer
to design, build, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who can advocate for technical best practices and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.
Lead Network Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:
Build, configure, and maintain Cisco routers and switches across enterprise environments Design and manage Fortinet firewall policies, rules, and security architecture Deploy and support wireless network infrastructure and VOIP systems Evaluate current network design and architecture, identifying gaps and recommending improvements Communicate technical requirements and best practices clearly to non-technical decision makers Lead network projects from design through implementation, ensuring alignment with business and security standards Troubleshoot complex network issues and drive resolution across connectivity, security, and voice systems Lead Network Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
At least [X] years of professional experience in a Lead Network Engineer or similar role Hands-on build and configuration experience with Cisco routers and switches Fortinet firewall experience, including policy management and security architecture Experience with wireless networking technologies and VOIP systems Proven ability to challenge and advise non-technical stakeholders on best practices and proper network design Strong understanding of network architecture and infrastructure design principles
