Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Junior Cyber Tools and Patching Architect to join our client's team. We are seeking a Network Engineer II to support a large-scale Department of Defense program focused on mission-critical network infrastructure. This role will be responsible for supporting network deployments, integration efforts, testing activities, and operational upgrades across a distributed enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with network engineering, routing and switching technologies, firewall administration, and troubleshooting complex network environments. This position requires occasional travel to support system deployments and installations at remote locations. Key Responsibilities Support planning, deployment, integration, and testing of network upgrades and enhancements. Assist with implementation and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. Perform network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis. Support field deployments and installation activities at operational sites. Configure and maintain routing, switching, and firewall technologies. Participate in Agile Scrum activities and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and technical reports. Provide status updates and technical recommendations to project stakeholders. Support mission-critical activities that may require occasional evening or weekend work. Required Qualifications Active Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain and maintain one. DoD 8140-compliant certification such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, GSEC, CISA, or equivalent. Knowledge of network design, deployment, and testing methodologies. Understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking concepts. Experience with routing protocols including BGP and OSPF. Experience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues. Familiarity with firewall technologies including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Juniper. Knowledge of VLANs, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, and enterprise network architectures. Experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Active Top Secret Security Clearance. Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government programs. Familiarity with TACLANEs, WAN optimization technologies, SONET, MSPP, and optical transport equipment. Experience supporting enterprise-scale network deployments and operational environments. Experience creating network diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio. Previous experience supporting geographically dispersed network infrastructures. EOE of Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabilities
