Key Job Accountabilities
Manage user security and access to databases to ensure a highly controlled access environment, apply database server related patches, and design database security standards.
Install, configure, and upgrade MSSQL & Oracle environments; collaborate with IT teams to design database architecture, databases, and database objects to meet organizational goals and requirements.
Participate in the planning, designing, implementing, and testing of newly and modified database configurations. Design database replication and automation tools.
Maintain database system uptime and fulfill Plexus's Application SLA, ensuring all database components work as expected.
Investigate and resolve any issues associated with database performance, monitor databases for efficiency, and make necessary adjustments to database parameters and architecture to ensure optimal performance.
Plan, prepare, and test database backup and recovery procedures.
Develop and design regional database backup policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to meet organizational goals and requirements. Define and implement consistent standards across databases.
Provide regular training and feedback to developers and junior DBAs.
All GT team members are responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity posture by adhering to security policies and procedures, actively participating in training, protecting data and systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and promptly reporting any suspicious activity or potential security incidents.
Design and maintain high‑availability, mission‑critical database clusters including Always‑On Availability Groups and robust Disaster Recovery strategies for global operations.
Education/Experience Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree with four or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
Other Qualifications
Experience in highly regulated environments (ITAR, CMMC, or similar) is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage large‑scale SQL Server migrations (e.g., 2016 to 2022) with minimal downtime.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical consulting to cross‑functional development teams.
Experience with or interest in hybrid‑cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, BigQuery).
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a standard office environment.
Travel Requirements
Minimal, as business needs require.

Salary Range $97,900.00 - $146,900.00
