Confirm receipt of products and IT assets
Identify IT assets for tracking purposes
Close purchase orders efficiently
IT Asset Scanning/Updating:
Scan and update IT assets upon receipt from suppliers/vendors
Introduce IT equipment to the IT Asset Management system
Identify tag numbers, descriptions, model numbers, serial numbers, manufacturers, and purchase orders
Inventory Warehousing Services:
Provide inventory warehousing services, both onsite and offsite
Understand space requirements, distribution speed, security needs, and transport services
Manage temporary warehousing of IT assets with expected usage within 90-120 days
Coordinate storage requirements for longer durations
Inventory Integrity:
Perform monthly and/or quarterly inventories
Ensure integrity of storage facilities and the Asset Management database
Advise customers on monthly inventory results and assist with distribution plans
Provide additional inventory counts upon request or in a timely manner
Distribution Services:
Provide worldwide delivery services, from dock-to-dock to customized priority delivery events
Identify cost-effective options for on-time delivery/pickup services
Select and fund shipping vendors appropriately
Scan equipment to the receiving entity
Ensure traceability of data-storage equipment to confirm receipt
Disposal and Recycling Services:
Assist customers in disposing of obsolete or irreparable equipment
Tailor activities to meet disposal requirements outlined in Security Instruction 2681 Media Disposal
Disable data-storing equipment by removing data-storing components and/or batteries
Maintain and share records of disposal with the IT Asset Management Team
Onsite Shredding:
Perform onsite shredding of data-storing components when possible
Maintain records of onsite shredding services and provide them to customers
Ensure approval of onsite shredding companies by Security
Additional Responsibilities:
Liaise with vendors such as Advanced Technology Recycling and buyback vendors (ITAD Tech, ATR, IBM)
Maintain logistics van, golf cart, manual, and electric pallet jacks
Manage cardboard recycling and trash disposal materials
ServiceNow Experience:
Learn and adapt using ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms to track inventory, log time, update and confirm assets, and close ticketing tasks
Adapt to quickly changing processes and be steadfast in adopting, sharing, and implementing new directives
