Webasto is searching for a Regional Sales Manager – Upper Midwest Region – Aftermarket Truck/Off Highway/Upfitters and Bodybuilders. Candidates should reside in Minnesota, Illinois or Wisconsin.
Position Summary This role is responsible for nurturing and growing revenue with designated existing customers and new customers in the assigned sales region, the Upper Midwest. It is responsible for achieving commercial goals with the customer and for developing and maintaining sustainable customer relationships within the aftermarket field.
Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus.
Essential Functions
Retaining and strengthening customer relationships, mainly driven from a commercial perspective
Customer relationship management for existing and new customers
Identifying and realizing opportunities and growth trends and acting as market interface for Webasto
Input for sales planning and a close alignment with customer specific KPI’s
Securing profitable growth within dedicated markets and product domains
Maintaining sales tools and records such as CRM
Prospecting and closing new business opportunities
Ability to present in a group setting in person and virtually
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work‑related experience.
5+ years prior experience in selling technical products within the North American Truck and/or Bus and/or Construction equipment industry. Training and/or experience that provides this knowledge, skill, and ability is preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
Knowledge and Proficiency
Relevant experience (min. 5 years) working within one or more of the following industries:
Heavy Duty (truck, oil and gas, mining, etc.)
Medium Duty (upfitting/bodybuilders, dealer installers, etc.)
Experience with fuel‑operated heaters and vehicle HVAC systems preferred
Proven track record prospecting and gaining new business
Good organizational skills, able to work independently and in a team
Good people and communication skills internally and externally
Willing to travel on a regular basis
Good PC skills using Office programs
Ability to
Analyze information
Collaborate with other departments
Effectively manage a multi‑state territory, including efficiently planning travel
Manage expense reports
Budget and forecast

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work from a home office and travel as required. This will require a driver’s license, the ability to fly commercially, and rent a car as needed. This role requires attendance at trade shows throughout the country, ability to transport and set up event spaces, and long driving distances.
