Design, manage, and support statewide LAN/WAN, Internet access, disaster recovery (DR), wireless, and VPN services Install, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless technologies Review and recommend enhancements to the college’s data and telecommunications infrastructure to drive continuous service improvement Keep current with evolving network hardware and software capabilities and incorporate best‑practice standards Analyze assigned problems and develop solutions; guide the end‑to‑end implementation of network projects Develop communication plans for both planned and unplanned outages Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures associated with the college network infrastructure Maintain high standards of quality by developing effective operational procedures and system documentation Provide mentoring leadership to the statewide network engineering team Share expertise with peers and foster a team‑oriented environment Work effectively and diplomatically with peers, customers, and external entities Present technical sessions and serve on task forces as requested SUPERVISION RECEIVED

$105,000 - $115,000 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree in a related field with documented work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Five or more years of hands‑on work experience in a technical environment. Experience in higher education preferred. Extensive experience with Cisco and Juniper environments. Extensive experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and Multicast. Extensive experience with enterprise network design and architecture. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and diagnose network and application performance issues. Strong network documentation skills and experience creating network diagrams. Experience with QoS, VLANs, ACLs, PBR, IP SLAs, HA technologies. Experience with different types of wiring, cable types, and standards. Experience with optical multiplexing technologies. Experience with common network protocols and services. Experience configuring and deploying different types of VPN technologies. Familiarity with Zero Trust networking principles and network security best practices, with a willingness to help evaluate and implement a Zero Trust framework. Experience with enterprise network management and monitoring solutions. Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. DESIRED SKILLS
Production experience with software‑defined networks API network management. Production experience with Nexus, Meraki, ACI, Mist, and UCS platforms. Professional certifications: CCNP, JNCIP. BENEFITS
