Job Title: Sales Development Executive Department: Sales, Marketing & Product Management Country: United States of America State/Province: Georgia City: Atlanta Employment Type: Full time Job Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for contacting high‑profile prospective customers and selling J.B. Hunt solutions for their enterprise. The focus is on defining opportunities to sell J.B. Hunt services, onboarding new clients, establishing long‑term success strategies, aligning internal teams, and transitioning the customer to account management after maturity. Key Responsibilities Utilize data insights and sales enablement tools to conduct lead generation activities, including cold calling, networking, and other prospecting methods to convert new business. Meet with prospective customers to discuss opportunities, understand their business needs, identify scope, develop strategy, submit proposals, finalize contracts, and win deals. Coordinate with internal teams and customers to implement solutions, including kick‑off participation and creating mutually agreeable implementation strategies. Set expectations during implementation for internal resources to maintain account health, reviewing KPIs, revenue quality, opportunity monitoring, and contract and payment terms. Develop account strategy for maintenance and growth, creating future‑opportunity roadmaps for transition to internal sales personnel. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. 3–4 years of transportation/logistics or relevant experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record as per J.B. Hunt standards. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Communication, or related field. 3–4 years of experience in transportation/logistics or related field. 2–3 years of direct sales experience. Skills High‑velocity prospecting. Sales negotiation and closing techniques. Sales forecasting, planning, and strategy development. Pipeline management and maximization. Compensation Expected starting pay range: $92,200.00 – $115,300.00, subject to skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. May be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits. 401(k) retirement plan.
