Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer Location: Las Vegas, NV 89119 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year Responsibilities Research and Development Research, design, develop, operate and maintain software components and computing systems software for engineering, hardware and manufacturing requirements. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development lifecycle to support high‑quality, sustainable engineering applications and products for long‑term field use. Independently determine and develop solutions, rarely seeking assistance from peers. Assist with code reviews from Level I and Level II engineers. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of advanced scope and complexity with imaginative, thorough, and practicable approaches consistent with organization objectives. Apply advanced C++ experience to code new and enhanced development objectives. Apply user interface design techniques to promote usability. Coordinate testing scripts, documentation and deployment schedules with Quality Assurance, Training and Documentation departments. Follow and/or recommend changes to department processes and procedures, and review software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy. Use best practices for software development, including functional specifications, code reviews, revision control and unit testing. Create and/or review development design documentation as needed. Complete other duties as assigned. Customer Relations Interact with customers to obtain feedback on the stability and reliability of systems software. Create and maintain solid customer relations. Team Leadership Provide guidance to junior developers to drive the successful completion of programs. May function in a project leadership role on occasion. Experience with graphics engines and frameworks a major plus. Experience with embedded system development and tools. Experience with Linux and GCC toolchains a plus. Experience with GUI development, OpenGL, and graphics engines a plus. Experience with multi‑threaded applications and socket APIs. Experience with HTML, XML, JSON, GTK, Boost, network protocols, and GTest a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills. High degree of analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability. Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in Casino Management Systems and an understanding of technology requirements, constraints, and approaches highly regarded. Intermediate or expert level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently with all levels of the business.
